E-Furbished.in – Fixed Warranty Terms & Conditions

E-Furbished.in provides a Fixed Warranty on all laptops supplied by us, valid from the date of purchase. This warranty covers replacement and repair services for eligible issues as detailed below.


Warranty Coverage

The Fixed Warranty covers:

  • Screen/LCD issues such as Black Screen Error or Blue Screen Error

  • Battery, Keyboard, Camera, Microphone, and Speakers.

  • Any functionality issues affecting normal laptop operation


Warranty Exclusions

The warranty will not cover the following:

  1. Any physical damage (e.g., dents, cracks, or broken parts).

  2. Liquid or water damage or exposure to moisture.

  3. Electrical short circuits or power surge damage.

  4. Screen issues such as horizontal/vertical lines, black dots, flickering, or discoloration.

  5. Tampering, altering, removing, or de-stickering of the warranty seal.

    • If the warranty seal is broken, misplaced, or photographed and later removed, the warranty becomes void immediately, without prior notice.

  6. Damage due to mishandling, including bending, twisting, or cracking of panels.

  7. Internal component damage resulting from accidental or excessive external damage.

  8. Damage caused during self-repair attempts or tampering with internal hardware.

  9. Accidental or intentional liquid spillage or humidity-related issues.

  10. Loss of data during repair, replacement, or malfunction. (Users must back up all data before sending devices for service.)

  11. Subsequent damage caused after delivery, such as impact, drop, or improper usage.

  12. Display issues that arise naturally over time (e.g., dead pixels, color fading).

  13. Third-party repairs or unauthorized servicing void the warranty immediately.


Warranty Claim Process

To claim your warranty:

  1. Include your order number, registered phone number, and a brief description of the issue.

  2. Preserve the original packaging (box, bubble wrap, air packs) for safe transit in case of pickup.

  3. Warranty claims can be submitted only during our working hours: 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM IST (Monday to Saturday). Messages sent outside these hours will be processed on the next working day.


Service & Resolution Process

  • E-Furbished.in typically resolves warranty issues within 48 to 72 hours of receiving your initial query.

  • The total turnaround time (including pickup, repair, and delivery) may range between 11–20 business days, depending on various operational and environmental factors.

Possible Factors Affecting Service or Transit Timelines

The total time taken for pickup, service, and return delivery may vary depending on several external and operational conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Geographic location and serviceability of the customer’s area.

  • Weather conditions such as heavy rainfall, floods, or extreme heat that affect transit.

  • Local holidays, public events, or unforeseen delays in logistics operations.

  • Courier network limitations or reduced service coverage in remote or rural areas.

  • Technical inspection time required to accurately diagnose the reported issue.

  • Availability of replacement parts or components required for repair.

  • Volume of ongoing service requests during peak or sale periods.

  • Government regulations, lockdowns, or movement restrictions impacting transportation or service centers.

  • Delay in customer response, such as address confirmation, pickup scheduling, or failure to provide required details.

  • Quality checks and testing procedures before dispatching the repaired or replacement laptop.

  • Unexpected hardware dependencies identified after the initial inspection.

  • Courier partner operational issues like manpower shortage or shipment misrouting.

  • Force majeure events, including natural disasters, political unrest, strikes, or acts of God.


Replacement Policy

  • If a replacement laptop is issued under warranty, the original purchase date will remain the start date for the warranty tenure.

    • Example: If your original laptop was purchased on 1st January 2025 and replaced in June 2025, the warranty for the replacement will still expire on 1st January 2026.

  • Replacement units are provided only after inspection and validation of the reported issue by E-Furbished.in’s technical team.

  • All replacement approvals are subject to availability of stock and compatible model(s). If the exact model is unavailable, a similar or higher configuration model may be offered at E-Furbished.in’s discretion.

  • The replacement unit may be refurbished, but will be fully tested, quality-checked, and certified for functionality and performance.

  • Any cosmetic differences (such as minor signs of use or variations in color) in the replacement device will not be treated as grounds for rejection.

  • The remaining warranty period of the original purchase applies to the replacement unit, the warranty does not restart or extend.

  • The replacement timeline may vary depending on stock availability, logistics, service center processing time, and other external factors.

  • If the device is found tampered with, or if the issue falls under non-warranty exclusions, the replacement request will be rejected and return shipping may be chargeable.

  • Customers are responsible for backing up all personal data before sending the device for inspection or replacement, E-Furbished.in will not be liable for data loss during the process.

  • Replacements are provided only once per order under warranty. Subsequent failures will be handled via repair or part replacement, as applicable.

  • The ownership of the replaced product transfers to E-Furbished.in once a replacement unit is issued.


Additional Terms & Liabilities

  • The warranty is non-transferable and valid only for the original purchaser for the duration of 1 year.

E-Furbished.in is not liable for:

  • Loss of data, software, or files due to hardware malfunction, repair, replacement, or service processes.

  • Financial loss, business interruption, or loss of opportunity caused by laptop malfunction, hardware or software defect, performance lag, system crash, technical fault, repair delays, or any other operational downtime arising from device issues.

  • Delays in repair or transit due to external factors such as courier delays, logistics issues, public holidays, strikes, natural calamities, or government restrictions.

  • Cosmetic wear and tear arising from normal usage, such as surface scratches, scuffs, discoloration, minor dents, fading of finish, or gradual wear of keyboard keys and touchpad.

  • Any damage or malfunction arising from the use of unauthorized, incompatible, or third-party accessories, such as chargers, adapters, power cables, or batteries, not supplied or approved by E-Furbished.in.

  • Software or operating system issues caused by user-installed programs, malware, or viruses.

  • Performance issues arising from software corruption, unauthorized system modification, or BIOS/firmware alteration.

  • Loss of productivity or data due to accidental deletion, reinstallation of the operating system, or reformatting during service.

  • Peripheral or external device failure, including issues with printers, mice, USB drives, or monitors connected to the laptop.

  • Battery performance degradation due to normal usage patterns, charge cycles, or environmental conditions.

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the device.

  • Any modification, servicing, or internal inspection performed by third-party technicians, service centers, or anyone not authorized by E-Furbished.in, resulting in partial or complete disassembly of the device.

  • Damage during shipment if the product was not packed securely and properly as per E-Furbished.in’s packaging guidelines.

  • Loss or theft of the product while in the customer’s possession.

  • E-Furbished.in is not liable for any claim or compensation exceeding the original purchase price of the laptop, including, but not limited to:

  1. Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

  2. Loss of data, files, or software

  3. Financial loss, business interruption, or lost opportunity

  4. Costs arising from downtime, repairs, or replacement beyond the invoiced value

  5. Any third-party claims related to the device

  6. Loss or corruption of personal information or confidential data

  7. Loss resulting from software or operating system failure

  8. Damage caused by unauthorized modifications or repairs

  9. Loss due to delays in service, shipment, or replacement beyond control

  10. Any costs associated with backup, recovery, or restoration of data

  11. Loss resulting from improper usage, negligence, or mishandling by the customer

  12. Loss due to cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality

  13. Claims arising from use of third-party or non-genuine accessories

  14. Any loss caused by environmental factors, such as humidity, temperature, or natural disasters

  • Service delays beyond E-Furbished.in’s control, including vendor, logistics, or manufacturer-related dependencies.

  • User negligence, such as incorrect storage, exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, or dust.

  • Use of counterfeit or incompatible parts, software, or accessories that result in damage to the system.

  • Delay caused by incorrect or incomplete pickup information (e.g., wrong address or unavailability of customer during pickup/delivery).


Service & Transit Timelines

  • After a warranty issue is raised and acknowledged by E-Furbished.in, the total service duration will generally include:

    • Pickup & Drop Transit Time: 10 to 15 days (depending on pincode, logistics partner, and distance).

    • Service/Repair Time: 1 to 5 business days (depending on issue severity and part availability).

  • Any delay beyond these timelines, excluding the factors mentioned earlier (courier delays, natural calamities, public holidays, strikes, etc.), will be eligible for resolution or refund in accordance with E-Furbished.in’s Refund Policy.

  • The customer will be informed of status updates via WhatsApp throughout the service process.

  • Warranty claims are subject to verification and inspection by our technical team.

  • E-Furbished.in reserves the right to repair, replace, or reject warranty claims based on the nature of the issue.


No Signed Contract / Binding Agreement

  • E-Furbished.in does not operate under any formal signed contract or legal agreement with the customer beyond the standard terms and conditions mentioned above.

  • All services, warranties, replacements, or repairs are governed solely by the terms outlined in this Warranty Policy.

  • No additional obligations shall arise from informal communications, or any other form of correspondence unless explicitly confirmed by an authorized E-Furbished.in representative.

  • The customer acknowledges and agrees that no implied or unwritten contract exists that binds E-Furbished.in to provide services beyond what is specified in these terms, including but not limited to:


    • Provision of a backup or replacement laptop during repair or service is not guaranteed.

    • Replacement or repair will only be carried out for issues covered under the warranty; services for damages or malfunctions outside the warranty scope will not be provided.

    • Warranty periods will not be extended, and no additional financial compensation exceeding the original purchase price of the laptop will be offered.

    • Services will be provided within E-Furbished.in’s working hours (10:30 AM to 7:00 PM IST); no obligations exist for after-hours service.

     

  • E-Furbished.in expressly disclaims any liability arising from claims of oral agreements, verbal assurances, or any expectations of services not explicitly included in this warranty policy.

  • The customer cannot enforce any claim for additional services, financial compensation, or obligations that are not expressly covered in this warranty policy.

  • All transactions and services are subject to Indian Consumer Protection Law, and any disputes will be addressed in accordance with the laws applicable to the jurisdiction in which E-Furbished.in operates.

  • This clause ensures that the liability of E-Furbished.in is limited strictly to the terms stated in this warranty policy and invoice, and no other implied or collateral warranties are assumed.
